Nest of Scarabs
Enchantment
Whenever you put one or more -1/-1 counters on a creature, create that many 1/1 black Insect creature tokens.

Oh yeah, Hapatra defiantly goes in this deck.
It is obviously a combo card, the problem is that it fills that role a bit too well. With Haptra it is 5MV and both pieces are tutorable by creature tutors as well as black tutors. With Nest of Scarabs it is at least 6 MV and nest can only be found with the black tutors in a Jund deck, but that is still stronger than WotC normally likes for cards designed for combo potential. If Amonket had never happened and Flourishing Defenses were the only token generator on placing -1/-1 counters I could see this card's design space being explored. Then you are at 8 MV and one piece is only hit by black tutors in the color identity of the creature.
I like the flavor and the design, which is a rare thing from me. I am just sad that it interacts too well to ever be officially printed. At least without nerfing the last 2 abilities by making them only affect opponent's creatures or some such.

Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Nest of Scarabs, Flourishing Defenses, and maybe Blowfly Infestation?

After some playtesting I made some changes to the deck trying to make it more dinamic and interactive. I also picked some cards that I wanted.
Tried to streamline the deck by removing some alternative combos. Removed Pawn of Ulamog, Pitiless Plunderer, Phyrexian Altar and Reassembling Skeleton. This one was too convoluted I think. Changed for Geralf's Messenger, to have another option that combos with Yawgmoth and Nest of Scarabs. Putrid Goblin can combo with Mikaeus and Altar of Dementia (wich by itself serves as a sac outlet and selfmill aswell). Also added one more tutor in Dark Petition to pick the pieces and more reanimate in Incarnation Technique. Still testing this reanimate card but seems that can be quite nice in the right moment, as I have a bunch of removal and some grave hate.
Ill take this deck to a tournament in my LGS next saturday and post the results here!
Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks!

Gleeock that's exactly right and it's what I do when the opponent doesn't have a weak creature I can shoot down for cheap. Most of the time once I have Doubling Season (or even it I don't) + Yawgmoth, Thran Physician + Nest of Scarabs I just place the -1/-1 counters on my own creatures and draw until I find an out.
I also always make sure to sting my own guys just so I will have some board presence after the inevitable wrath. XD

Dire Undercurrents, Ayara, First of Locthwain for etb.
Repentant Vampire + Thornbite Staff for wiping board. Some other pro-black removal: Liliana's Defeat, Dark Betrayal, Stronghold Taskmaster, Urborg Shambler.
Some others Horror of Horrors, Decomposition.
Savra, Queen of the Golgari if ur doing a sacrifice sub-theme.
Corrosive Mentor + Nest of Scarabs
Elephant Grass + Razorjaw Oni for protection and unbloackable.

Some thoughts:
-
your current list is only at 54 cards, you’ll need to get to 60.
-
20 lands feels too low for what you’re doing here, i’d suggest 22-23.
-
Be aware that Blowfly Infestation and Nest of Scarabs can all-too-easily nonbo together to create an infinite combo you’re unable to stop, forcing the game to end in a draw. It’s very risky playing both of these cards.
-
i would really suggest adding green into this deck. It’s already hard-enough to build anything remotely viable centering around -1/-1 counters, without further restricting yourself for no real reason.

pea_body All of your suggested changes sound great! Sounds like you have a pretty good idea of the changes to make :)
As far as the higher mana cards go, I think aiming to run 3x Skinrender and 3x Kulrath Knight (with no Archfiend of Ifnir) is probably a good mix. With your beforementioned killspells added, and around 24 lands, I think you'll be able to easily sustain 6 4-mana cards relatively well.
Black Sun's Zenith is a fine replacement for any of your cards, particularly a good replacement for Archfiend of Ifnir. It becomes an auto-win condition alongside Nest of Scarabs (just through the sheer number of scarabs you can generate from it).

zapyourtumor yeahh... I guess theoretically it could be ok if The Ozolith + Nest of Scarabs is out, but then it's still not great. any suggestions?
