Sigarda's Aid and a Creature with Shroud?

So let's say I have Sigarda's Aid in play and a creature, let's say Plague Myr , play. Plague Myr is already equipped with Lightning Greaves so it has Shroud.

Can I cast an equiment, like Whispersilk Cloak and attach it to Plague Myr ?

I know Equip abilites don't work because those target a creature. from the exact wording from Sigarda's Aid I'd expect it wouldn't work because it is says "attach it to TARGET creature". Or is it similar to Stonehewer Giant his ability, that it doesn't actually target a creature?

If the spell or ability says "target," then it targets, so no, Sigarda's Aid won't let you attach the equipment to your shroud creature. Stonehewer Giant notably does not say "target" in its ability.
