when are they gonna make a return to khans block?

I don't know about Return to Tark... eh, Khans, but I can't wait for Re-Return to Zendikar. Why is it taking so long to happen?

Also, can we go back to return to ravnica again? Return to Return to Ravnica was such a let down.

I think the point is that the set is so new there is no point in looking to the return to set b/c we're still in the set. Take time to enjoy DTK before you worry about wanting to come back to it.

The plot of the Tarkir block appears to wrap up nicely, much like that of the Innistrad block. Thus, lorewise, there is little reason to go back to Tarkir anytime soon or even far down the line.

What do we think will come after Battle for Zendikar? I think WotC said they wanted to do longer story arcs with the introduction of the new block structure so we might see some more of the eldrazi. I hope we see the phyrexians again soon. I missed the scars of mirrodin block by just a bit less than a year

Just realized how cool it would be to have Eldrazi and phyrexians in the same standard. I don't know how well it would play but having two of the main antagonists in Magic in the same standard seems cool.

I wouldn't call Tarkir finished. The people there are living under the tyrrany of dragons, and while Sarkhan and the fanbase may think that's cool, I imagine that there will be a rebellion sometime in the future. That being said, give it a few years. We have other problems in the multiverse: Eldrazi are still on the loose, Phyrexians are spreading their oil everywhere (thanks Karn!), Bolas is still planning god knows what, and Tibalt still sucks.
Personally, I want a return to Theros. Not because of the cards, but just as a checkup to see how the plane is doing since Ajani went on his naythesist campaign. That, and I imagine we all want to see a certain lance-wielding Planeswalker again...

Your plainsealker should return in the w/b color scheme as well and she will definitely have a token ability. My wonders are the artwork and other abilities.

Caharin Perhaps something to do with death or reanimation. Considering her predicament in the lore, it would make sense.

Maybe not a return to Mirrodin, per say.... but a block involving the Phyrexian invasion of another plane would be cool.

phc I would agree on the Phyrexian invasion, just to build them up as a serious threat. Like I said earlier, Karn has some of oil in him. Perhaps he jumped to another plane to hid from the invasion, but brought it with him as a result. The block can focus on both the resistance and Karn's reactions to the knowledge that he's a walking herald of doom.

I think they could do some pretty cool stuff with the dragons in the future. Dragons always have potential, and this set is going to hold a special place in many hearts for a long time.
4-5 years would be my guess on the timeline. The story could, and probably will include factors that we are not yet aware of in the lore. There are some wildly popular main characters now, I am sure they will tap back into that.

Actually, if you think about it, Dragons of Tarkir didn't really end THAT smoothly. In the lore, Narset leaves very perplexed about the absence of the Khans, which I'm thinking will lead to another Sarkhan thing, only in a way to try and preserve both the Khans and the Dragons. Maybe not that exactly, but something like it.

Reckon WoTC could easily make a Return to Tarkir block, perhaps dealing with events looooong before Fate Reforged, under the Sultai empire. The second set could be faaaar into the future, after Dragons of Tarkir, and all of Tarkir has got into an ecological meltdown, due to the Dragonlords. WoTC likes to deal with modern issues, eh (I'm looking at you, Alesha, Who Smiles at Death)? Make an eco-disaster Tarkir set... come on, those Elder Dragons are walking/flying eco-disasters.
