Surrak's Backstory and Sorin's Despair

In case you haven't been paying attention to the Uncharted Realms articles, 2 new articles have been released, one focusing on Surrak Dragonclaw and the other on Sorin, Solemn Visitor .
Surrak article highlights how he bested the bear with a punch (aka Savage Punch ) and how the bears and the Temur's alliance started. Article here.
Sorin's article gave me chills. It answers a lot of questions while providing us with more. Remember Nahiri? She first made her debut in Ob-Nixilis's article, where she was speculated to be the unknown Lithomancer. Well, Sorin mentions her, all but confirming that. In addition, Sorin didn't know Ugin had been slain, now believing that with no chance of bringing Ugin back, the Multiverse is lost. Article here.

Interesting to read the Ob Nixilis article, too. Maybe he will replace Nahiri and help Sorin and a temporal Ugin seal the Eldrazi again in Return to Zendikar.

That's what I think will end up happening (sorin, ugin, & ob nixilis). That just means I get more spaghetti monsters :)

I think Ob Nilixis will eventually get a planeswalker card but I don't believe he will join Ugin and Sorin. He wants Zendikar to burn so he can regain his spark and they want to bring the Eldrazi back to Zendikar to trap them in Eye. Now that I'm tipping this I realize that both of those things cannot happen so Ob Nilixis will either get another legendary creature or he will find another way to get his spark back.

While true that Ob Nixilis wants the destruction of Zendikar, he would not want the Eldrazi to be the ones to destroy it. He is currently trapped on Zendikar and needs to sacrifice the Plane so that he may regain his spark.
From what I have read, Ulamog is still on Zendikar. If Ulamog destroys Zendikar before Ob Nixilis can sacrifice the Plane, he will not regain his spark; he will be destroyed along with Zendikar.
So long as he does not let on that he has other plans for Zendikar, it would be in his best interest to protect the Plane long enough to sacrifice it.

Also, Ob Nixilis of the Black Oath is a thing now, so maybe a second version for Return To Zendikar.

Yes. That is highly probable Long_Con. Hopefully he remains a demon though. I would love to see another demon walker especially after the disappointment that was Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded.
