The season finale is here; the confrontation is set, with unforeseen consequences for one

"Huehuehue! I'm Bolas and I'm stealing your girl!"

Other than that, so many legends in here: Ugoros, Muldrotha, Radha(!)...and the cast.

Also, if the 'watch is still around after Ravnica 3, Karn will most likely join, considering his stance. He's just more concerned in blasting Mirr...I mean New Phyrexia into smithereens.

I hope Nissa comes to her senses.

It seems the core set is going to take place on multiple planes, perhaps Zendikar will be one of those planes

Spoilers Show

Moving on to not-spoilers, I hope Nissa does not come to her senses. I think the Gatewatch is getting a bit played out, and I would rather have a bunch of Planeswalkers scattered everywhere telling their own stories/dropping in and out of the main story.

It will be interesting to see where the story of Core 2019 goes. I'm pretty excited to see Theros in the set--can't wait to find out what has been happening there.

I feel like the core set is going to give us snapshots of Bolas’s plan being set in motion on a bunch of planes (at least I hope so).

Also: I am a bit surprised that Liliana didn’t read her contract carefully enough to catch that. I don’t have a problem with it, but generally the cheaty/sneaky/tricky type are aware of the cheaty/sneaky/tricky things other people do and are extra suspicious...

Sucks to be Lili, and she was finally making friends

I love that Slimefoot called for help and Muldrotha came to their aid! Makes me want to build Muldrotha that much more

I always imagine the strengths of the characters matching their card's strength. Like, Muldrotha must have been buffed by an ouside source to kill Yargle, because in the card game they'd kill each other in combat! (6/6 vs 9/3) lol

greyninja: True, and she could always desert like Sarkhan did. The pact would make this more difficult, but I'm guessing there's a loophole somewhere?

I was expecting that Belzenlok, as the final of Liliana's demons, would put up an excellent fight and severely wound the heroes, but he was defeated far too easily and without severe consequences.

Bolas having a loophole in Liliana's contract had no foreshadowing and came out of nowhere, but it is completely in-character for someone as diabolical as him to have a contingency plan in the case that all four demons were killed. However, I do find it to be weird that Liliana never discovered that loophole in over two-hundred years of life.

It was very sad that the others did not realize the true reason for Liliana's absence, so I hope that she shall explain it to them, and that they shall believe her. If Gideon could sense Liliana' aether trails, why could he not sense Bolas's? I doubt that a being as powerful as Bolas could completely disguise his presence, as that would be akin to attempting to block the sun.

I definitely am very excited to see what happens next, so I shall be awaiting the next story.

I saw this on the Reddit post for the story and thought I'd share the Boardstate of this epic battle

MILD REFERENCE TO INFINITY WAR THAT DOESN'T REALLY CONTAIN SPOILERS BUT THIS IS HERE JUST IN CASE SOMEONE HASN'T SEEN IT YET AND GETS MAD Show

I'd love an "unmending." Bolas undoing what the mending 'fixed' and the gatewatch and allies (with restored oldwalker power) scrambling to band-aid the multiverse so it doesn't come apart at the seems while bolas consolidates power. Could be very dramatic as exclusively neowalkers have to adjust to inhuman levels of power and the dehumanizing shift in perspective it brings.

While we're posting our dreams about how we'd like the story to go:

My dream is that we will learn Bolas was, in his own way, the "good" guy. Having evidence of Phyrexia's imminent return (Karn's statements in story make it pretty clear Phyrexia is going to be the next archenemy--as it should be), Bolas has set in motion his plans to obliterate the ancient evil once and for all. The Eternals, the planer bridge, the Immortal Sun--all tools to fight Phyrexia/contain their spread.

The Gatewatch, of course, will foil this plan inadvertently, and put the entire multiverse in jeopardy.

I believe bolas is trying to babyproof the multiverse for his egg that he holds in stasis between his horns
