Is my Ancient Tomb doomed??

Real Quick: I won an Ancient Tomb in an EBay auction almost a month ago after 4 or so attempts, and it was sent in the mail from Oregon to Vermont on March 26th. This past Wednesday (April 10th) tracking reports that it has only made it about halfway on its journey to me.... with “visible damage” being the concise, 2-word update of its current condition (could be worse- might have said “on fire”?).
Not much anybody can do about it now, except the P.O., but maybe if some people can appeal/make offerings to their favorite Gods of Death/The Underworld, it might just arrive to me in 1 piece after all. Thanks in advance! Anyone else have any stories of cards damaged or lost in the mail?

I ordered some check lands from China and had trouble getting them. They made to America then got lost somewhere in customs. After messaging the seller and giving them a few weeks to look in to the issue, I finally had to complain to eBay about getting a refund. eBay was great in helping get me a refund, but it was still a pain to deal with the whole thing.

On the one hand, I am overall satisfied w/ eBay transactions & experiences in general. 90% of the stuff I've purchased (about %75 MtG, for myself) has arrived in great shape on time or a couple days early.

On the other hand, also got 50x random nonbasic from Colorado currently MIA, which was only $7.50 but no tracking.... needless to say I won't be looking for Lake of the Dead anytime soon, which was the other one I desire(d) most. Thinking I might just use eBay for inexpensive, quirky gifts for fam & friends from now on.

I've never owned a Snapcaster Mage since I generally don't play blue. (In Modern anyways) I ordered 2 NM Snappys at a really good price. They shipped out of NY with tracking. The tracking info was never updated and after a week I PM'd the seller to ask if they put the correct tracking number. They insisted they had. The following day the mail arrived. I was stoked. I hurriedly tore the top off the package, excited to get my Snaps. I really wanted to build BUG Midrange in Modern and had everything except Snap and Jace, the Mind Sculptor . I pulled the hard sleeves out of the package and to my disappointment, the sleeves and cards had been bent 90 degrees. I was really taken aback and retraced my steps. After taking a better look at the packaging, it was clear it had seen better days. None the less I took several pictures before going any further. I carefully removed the cards hoping to salvage them if there were no creases etc. I unsleeved the cards and not only were they bent, but one had writing on the back. In bold black permanent marker "BSKULL" was scrawled on the back of one of the cards. At this point I had had enough. I was fully refunded and sent back the cards along with the pictures. To this day I haven't had the courage to re-order them. It must not be meant to be.

When it come to ordering cards, I would highly recommend either tcgplayer or cardkingdom. I use tcgplayer myself and have never had any problems and recommend them anytime I can when local gamestores don't have what you need. I've baught cards that were "visibly damaged" or "heavily played" on there site before but they were described appropriately as such, so I knew what i was buying. I'm.. Skeptical of ebay at best.

I work in the mail industry. I had a tour of a plant that had damaged mail, if it isn't easily taped or repackaged, it goes to a damaged mail facility. If it gets to that point, it is as good as gone. They try their best to get everything where it needs to go, but every once in a while, accidents happen (usually because of poor, improper, or just point blank careless packaging)

I recently bought 10 packs of sleeves in a group order with my friends from Spain (to Italy where I live) on MagicCardmarket, estimated shipping duration of 6 days. The seller was tagged as professional, good reviews, I was sold. A phone number was also required for the international shipping.

I provided everything, and the order was tagged as shipped the day after. The seller didn't provide any tracking code and also refused to respond to messages. I waited the package more than one month and got provided the tracking code by the seller only two days after recieving the pack. An obvious never buy again from that guy, even though the package and all the contents were intact.
