Trying out Bloodsoaked Champion —June 12, 2015

So, oddly enough, I have decided to try out Bloodsoaked Champion.

Although he isn't a Vampire, he is a good card to pitch to Liliana of the Veil, and a nice addition with Falkenrath Aristocrat. Gonna do some testing and see how I like him.

InsatiableApathy: TL;DRGet off my deck plz n ty bby ;)

InsatiableApathy: Nah, in all seriousness, I have thought about changing my deck name. But going about it the way you, and countless others have is not the way to get someone to do something. So for future reference, don't be a big ol' baby. Go ahead and leave a nicely worded comment and I will respond a lot better to it.

Wow, this deck is pure sweetness. Very, very well built together. I honestly have nothing to suggest because I can't see any reasons to run any cards I might suggest. You sir, have done a hell of a job stumping me. +1

Anyway, I really don't understand why'd someone go and try to get blessed yeaSavior to make you change deck's name. The amount of up votes, helpful suggestions, and commandments on this deck are dramatically higher than the amount of people asking you to change the name. The only solid reasoning I can find behind their statements is that "many others fell the same". More others feel differently. Just sayin'.

:)

I know this is your deck, and not a discussion, so you can go ahead and remove this comment if ya want. :)

I just wanted to point out that women aren't the only ones who get raped.

"So for future reference, don't be a big ol' baby. Go ahead and leave a nicely worded comment and I will respond a lot better to it."

Isn't that what he just did?!?! And you just blew it off! Did you not read what he just wrote? Did you choose to ignore it? Yes you have free speech, but use of this website is a privilege, not a right. If the name offends people past reasonable jest than it's very much in the jurisdiction of those who run the site to change the name.

This is more than a case of "hurt feelers." It's propagation of the idea that rape is ok. Obviously the changing of the name will not change the culture of rape, but to the people that view and are hurt by this deck it makes all the difference. There are plenty of other names that don't offend or hurt. Exercise some creative power and go for a name that's not a cheap shot at a tragedy that is very real to a lot of people.

Show of hands who didn't read that massive wall of txt.

raises hand

Look, don't go off on some obvious moral tangent when "raping" something is common slang in competitive gaming & not meaning the literal sense. The only valid argument is that this site A) has minors and B) people view it at work.

Hey I thought I'd come check in on this gem to see if the comments where some new great suggestions for improvement. The deck has risen to where it is by the foul name is was born into. To change it now would be to cut off its nose to spite it's face. Having been around both victims of rape and big ol'babies much of my life I gotta tell you this decks name is neither offensive to rape victims or a rape joke. It actually seems to be most offensive however to big ol'babies these are the type of people who find something that might be offensive to some one somewhere at some point in time and start a god damned riot of a protest over it even though it literally has nothing to do with them or what they perceive it to be. Again bro sorry about the trolls find some wicked change to make in the deck so I can discuss that for a change instead of the topic of rape. I e said it before I have had someone close to me in my life slashed to death by a drugged out psychopath but I'm not calling wotc and telling them to change the name of Murderous Cut it's just words and rape victims and the rest of people are going to need to get some thicker skin

APPLE01DOJ the best statement I have seen arguing the validity of either side of the argument short and sweet direct I'd up ore your comment if this was reddit

If we ban rape I think we've definitely got to ban murder too. reading the description I don't find any clue that this user is mocking or making light of the victims of sexual violence or is perpetuating it's occurrence in society. Feel free to Google "the rape of"... there's plenty of professional and academic sources reaching back decades which use the imagery to describe something else besides sexual assault.

APPLE01DOJ: Did you just admit to not having read what I wrote, then tell me what I wrote, and then tell my what I wrote was wrong?

"It's everywhere," does not mean it's ok. That is flawed logic. Does that mean we only face the problem when we can deal with all of it at once? We have to make small steps. It can start anywhere. It can start here.

Felixlives: Please do not take the moral high ground here. Rape is not ok. That much is clear. You can choose to blow me off as a "big o'l baby" or a troll, but this really does have an effect on people. It had enough of an effect on Insatiable Apathy to make him delete his account.

TheBoraxKid, I hate to clutter your deck any longer as I have nothing against the deck itself. If anyone would like to continue this discussion please feel free to do so on my wall.

Now I'll just sulk on back to the spot in hell where us "big o'l babies" live.

NoviceMagician: Thank you friend for your kind words on my deck and for the upvote. You are appreciated. I also really like "yeaSavior" LOL

Felixlives: Thank you yet again Felix, you are always popping in on my deck and finding new ways to help me improve it, I really appreciate the almost cult-like following and devotion you have. :P It makes me feel as though I have done something right in making this deck. I also wanted to thank you for not only once, but multiples of times defending the right to have freedom of speech and the title of my deck. With you around I barely have to reply at all because you pretty much cover all the bases haha. Thanks again man. Always good to see a comment from you.

APPLE01DOJ: Thank you for stating your points very bluntly and abruptly and in a way that isn't a huge drawn out debate. You got your point across and didn't have to take 30 minutes typing out a text wall to do so.. like some people did. ;)

It's good to know that there are still some thick-skinned people on the internet. People act as though a series of letters coming together to make a word is equivalent to me actually going out and sexually assaulting someone. It's purely asinine how touchy people get, and how no one speaks up when a subject like murder or physical assault comes up, but people jump on the banwagon of rape to look like a white knight. I think it's ridiculous how people only pick and choose their battles when it personally affects them in some way. I think the next step for those people wasting time bitching about a silly title on a deck is for them to ban together and write WOTC to get the name of Murder changed to "Passed Away" or "Went To A Better Place"

Remember how I said I was going to leave? Yeah I'm not going to let that sit. Your ability to constantly scramble for the moral high ground while insulting and putting down those on the other side of the issue amazes me. I don't want to do this on your deck, but your passive aggressive references to "some people" leave me no choice. No, I'm not a "white knight," but I have family members who have been effected by rape personally and your idea of a "rape house" does hurt. But I don't expect that alone to change your opinion. Kids use this site, people at work use this site, and countless victims of rape use this site. It's more than a case of "hurt feelers," "big ol' babies," or "thin skinned" people. Rape is not ok. Jokes about rape are not ok. It may not seem like a big deal to you, but this has ruined my sisters life. I know you don't intend to come across this way, but it really does hurt. There's a simply thing you can do to change this. Change the name! It's not a big deal, and it does make a huge difference to many people. I obviously can't force you to do so, but I'd encourage you to extend some creative prowess and change the name to something a little less real.

Also, for future reference please refer to me when addressing my comments. The passive aggressive use of "some people" makes it hard to have a real discussion.

Also, I find the idea that I'm jumping on the "rape bandwagon" hilarious. Do you honestly think I'm doing this for image?

May 28, 2015 4:30 p.m.

I have family members that have been victims of rape. I can tell you reassuringly TheBoraxKid that it doesn't offend me at all.

The moment anyone who is offended, sits back, and thinks about it. They'll realize exactly what yeaSavior said, and as far as I'm concerned, his word should have ended any further attempts.

:)

I think this deck might have a spot for a couple [passed away] maybe in the side board it's solid removal in any format.

How is this most hated? Please enlighten me.

@Hallowed_Titan, there were several people upset about the name. Look through the cleared comments.

;)

May 31, 2015 7:48 p.m.

Oh I see. It's not even a bad name though. Just accurate lol.

May 31, 2015 7:52 p.m.

Yeah, they had really bad counter points. Eventually yeaSavior ended it. The deck name can stay.

How'd you compare mono black vs b/r vampire decks? I had a b/r before but wasn't really doing too much for me

June 4, 2015 9:02 p.m.

@mdunham, I don't know about others, but red seems to speed the deck up to me. With cards like Lightning Bolt and Stromkirk Noble, red can add a lot of extra good stuff to the deck.

It's all just personnel opinion though. :)

....... I wonder why no one has ever made a green vampire deck..... XD

haha yea. For me splashing some colors makes the deck more interesting. I've been thinking of going back to r/b. Any advice on my deck? Nosferatu and Friends
