Grim Tutor, Mystical Teachings —April 28, 2016

  • Jace and Tezzy, well, they were a very good helpers, but I will try to test this build without them. It was a hard decision to cut them and I pondered for a very long time about it. Often, Jace was just a Brainstorm for 4 cmc, and Tezzeret was pretty slow, one shot tutor for artifact. The replacements - Grim Tutor and Mystical Teachings, I think both are very good tutors.

Ever consider Maralen of the Mornsong?

I am very familiar with this card, but I think that Maralen of the Mornsong is not really suitable for this deck. It is good in combinations with cards that prohibit opponents to search cards, such as Stranglehold, Aven Mindcensor. Outside of this combinations Maralen of the Mornsong can cause a lot of hate and problems to its owner.

Hey man, I LOVE your custom Oloro. Was it hand painted, or a digital alter?

Thanks! It was hand painted. Man, I forgot to type a link to the website of the artist in description section. Fixed it.

That's awesome. Do you have a high res scan? I'd like to see the detail better.

Very nice indeed. What was the inspiration for that image?

The inspiration (and actualy the model) for the image was Azrael, Angel of Death from Angelarium by Peter Mohrbacher. He is one of the MTG artists. When I saw his gallery on deviantart.com, I was just amazed at how beautiful his work were. Here is the link to Angelarium website - www.angelarium.net/seraphim/. Enjoy :)
