The Tweaking Continues —June 8, 2015

Continuing to update this deck to fit the flavor of Izzet while also bringing it more in line with Nin and a card-draw heavy deck. To that end, I added a few new cards aimed specifically at card drawing.

Curiosity + Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind + Tandem Lookout

I added Tandem Lookout and Curiosity because I think they're good cards in and of themselves. A little damage to draw a card? Sure, I'll take it. However, this becomes broken when used in conjunction with Niv. Soulbond him with Tandem Lookout or attach Curiosity to him, tap him to poke for 1 damage and then draw your deck, killing your opponent in the process (As long as you have more cards in your deck than they have life). I'm generally not a fan of two-turn win combos, which is why I went with Curiosity instead of Ophidian Eye. Both Tandem Lookout and Curiosity can get some use without being an instant win.

I'm also looking into changing some of my instants and sorceries around. Currently, the majority are geared towards letting me target lots of creatures to feed into Dismiss into Dream, but I'm working on optimizing things further.
