Commander Death Triggers Rule Change —June 10, 2020

So it finally happened. The rules committee has changed the rules so that commanders that die can be sent back to the command zone AFTER they die. I don't think this means huge reworks of this deck because I still don't want to be paying the commander tax every time I wipe the board. But It has allowed me to very easily cut a couple cards in order to make room for a brand new win condition.

This is just a small update to make some quick and obvious updates.

Added

Nesting Grounds is the new card that enables a win condition I've been dreaming about since I first saw Magosi, the Waterveil. Paired with Karn's Bastion and Deserted Temple (and enough mana), the possibility now exists to win by generating infinite extra turns. Just generate the eon counter on Magosi, the Waterveil, move the counter to another land with Nesting Grounds, and then proliferate it with Karn's Bastion. After you skip your turn, you can move an eon counter back onto Magosi, the Waterveil to be used to give yourself an extra turn. Replay Magosi, the Waterveil, use Deserted Temple to untap it, and keep repeating.

Removed

Both of these cards existed in the deck to allow for Child of Alara to be retrieved from the graveyard before a more consistent method was setup (i.e. Volrath's Stronghold). Now that the rule's have been changed, it is always possible to allow Child of Alara and still have access to recast it. This removal may leave the deck lacking black mana, but I'm not sure so I'll be play testing to see if I need to re-figure the mana availability
