STILL AM MISSING A FEW CARDS... but the deck listed here is what I am playing with
After a bit more play testing ((unfortunately I don't get many opportunities to play test...)) and buying an Ixalan box, I decided to tweak the deck a bit more. I switched up some creatures, added some removal and defense spells, and added a couple land. I really would like to add in Bloodchief Ascension as it would combo well and only for 1 mana.
I also would like to start working on completing a sideboard. Specifically so that I can still function against decks that use graveyard mechanics.

Basically, there is no manaramp in either blue or black in Modern. I'd consider adding Bojuka Bog and Mortuary Mire as non-basic lands. Things that make people sacrifice is a good way around hexproof and indestructible. Geth's Verdict is good for that. Also, wraths get around hexproof. Bontu's Last Reckoning, for example, would do the trick. Glaring Spotlight also does the job, though it's not very versatile.
