Why is Gleemax's mana requirement 1,000,000

How can you get that much mana, Is it seriously that high a requirement

It's a joke card, so it's not meant for real play. But if you really want to play it, use the Mox Lotus .

Obzedat's Aid and Erratic Explosion are another pair you could run with it... though the latter would need setup via Brainstorm or Jace, the Mind Sculptor or Scroll Rack ...
