Torpor Orb vs Overburden

Does Torpor Orb (and friends) stop Overburden from triggering?

I think you're right since Hushbringer can stop general "leaves" triggers like Outpost Siege if the creature is leaving by dying, but just to be clear: the reason I'm confused about Overburden is because even the oracle text says
"Whenever a player puts a nontoken creature into play, ..."
instead of e.g.
"Whenever a nontoken creature enters the battlefield, its controller ..."

Gotcha, those two examples do still mean the same thing though. The reason it's got weird wording is because it's an old card that they changed slightly for more clarity.

Yep. The creatures entering the battlefield are what causes abilities like those to trigger, so Torpor Orb shuts that down.
A handy way to remember it is by comparing it to Hushbringer (if you're familiar with that one), which also on the dying side shuts down not only cards that trigger from themselves like Abyssal Gatekeeper, but also things that care about others dying like Grave Pact.
