lets say Genesis Hydra attacks Opponent B, and Opponent B decides to block it with a Stormbreath Dragon , Then i Use Celestial Flare , Does Damage go through?

Lightning Strike

Genesis Hydra attacks Opponent B, and Opponent B Decides to block it with an Elvish Mystic , then i use Lightning Strike to kill Elvish Mystic , Does Damage go through?

Battlefield Thaumaturge out on the battlefield, Opponent B has 12 soldier tokens, how much mana does Gridlock Cost? Why?

Celestial Flare and Lightning Strike : No. Once an attacking creature is blocked, it remains blocked for the rest of combat. Removing the blocking creature will not cause the attacking creature to become unblocked. The only way Genesis Hydra could deal damage is if it were given trample.

Battlefield Thaumaturge : Gridlock will cost " - N", where N is the number of creatures it targets. You declare all targets, then base cost calculations on those targets. Battlefield Thaumaturge reduces the cost of your instants and sorceries by per creature they target. If you target only creatures while casting Gridlock , Gridlock will cost no matter how many targets it has because the cost per target and the cost reduction per creature targeted are equal. If you target three creatures and two noncreature permanents, Gridlock will cost .
