karn, silver golem's 1 mana ability
Asked by somensjev 11 years ago
can i use Karn, Silver Golem 's ability on an opponents artifact and turn it into a creature?
for example, if my opponent had a Mindslaver on the field, and i tried to turn it into a 6/6 creature, would it work?

You sure can. My Karn deck, Which I will post today, Uses Mycosynth Lattice to make my opponents' lands into Artifacts, so that Karn Can Animate them, Thus causing them to be put into the Graveyard as a state-based action, as its power and toughness would be zero. I also use Dross Scorpion so that I may tap one Land over and over to kill all the lands at the table but mine!

You can, but there would be little point in doing it to Mindslaver unless you are going to immediately going to exile or kill it since it would be a 6/6 artifact creature with Mindslaver's ability.

i realise, i just said mindslaver since it was the first artifact i thought of, and i'm sure Terminate would be easy to use

Yes, there's no reason why that wouldn't work. It only wouldn't work if it said "noncreature artifact you control".
