If there a is +1 counter on a creature and it dies does the counter move with it?

Asked by macster 10 years ago

I'm building a Varolz, the scar stripped tiny leaders deck and I wanted to put cards like mistcutter hydra in it. So if i have one counter on miscutter hydra then it dies and i scavenge it with varolz then will I be able to scavenge one?

No, by default counters do not remain on objects when they change zones.

Link all cards in your question. There's a formatting guide at the bottom of the page.

Skullbriar, the Walking Grave is the one exception to this.

Also always link your cards: Varolz, the Scar-Striped Mistcutter Hydra.

Scavenge also only looks at the creature card's printed power and toughness and any characteristic defining abilities it may have (e.g. Lord of Extinction). You should look into getting Death's Shadow and Phyrexian Dreadnought.

Sorry, just power, not power and toughness.
