Do creatures placed on the battlefield because of this card have summoning sickness?

302.6. A creatures activated ability with the tap symbol or the untap symbol in its activation cost cant be activated unless the creature has been under its controllers control continuously since his or her most recent turn began. A creature cant attack unless it has been under its controllers control continuously since his or her most recent turn began. This rule is informally called the summoning sickness rule.

Any creature that enters the battlefield, regardless of how it got there, will have summoning sickness unless specifically stated otherwise on either the card (such as Anger), or by the ability bringing them into play. (such as Goblin Rabblemaster's ability that puts a token into play with haste, or Whip of Erebos, that gives the creature entering the battlefield haste.

Grimoire of the Dead puts the creatures on to the battlefield, but it does not say they gain haste. So the creatures will have summoning sickness.

(Note: if you activated the ability of Grimoire of the Dead on the end of your opponent's turn, and then it became your turn, the implied creatures would no longer be affected by summoning sickness as they were under your control since the beginning of your turn.)

Also note: summoning sickness is not limited to just having a creature enter the battlefield. If you gained control of a creature, say with Mind Control, it would regain summoning sickness because you have not controlled it since the beginning of your turn.

Also also note: Everything has summoning sickness, it just only effects creatures.

If you played a Mutavault, and immediately activated its ability to become a creature, it would no longer be able to tap for mana that turn.
