Does a noncreature artifact keep its activated abilities when it is turned into a artifact creature?

Asked by Poly_raptor 5 years ago

If I were to cast Skilled Animator and target, let’s say Unwinding Clock , does the unwinding clock remain an unwinding clock? Or does it just become a 5/5?

Do I still get the static (or activated/triggered) abilities of said artifacts?

Unwinding Clock keeps all abilities. The only thing different about it is that it is now also a (5/5 artifact) creature.

For abilities like this, the animated object only loses its abilities if the animating effect says so. Compare to Titania's Song which animates artifacts but also takes away their abilities.
