Day of the Dragons and Doubling Season returning tokens

If I have tokens in play when I Day of the Dragons or Worldgorger Dragon, do they get doubled by Doubling Season when they return after DotD leaves play or is it just cards that are returned and tokens are just removed?

Tokens do not return to the battlefield in any case. They simply cease to exist.

Rules reference to support Junkyard Dog-

111.7. A token that’s in a zone other than the battlefield ceases to exist. This is a state-based action; see rule 704.
