Can Primal Amulet  Flip copy twice?

Asked by treasureberry 6 years ago

If I were to tap Primal Amulet, then untap it with something like Hope Tender, would it copy an instant or sorcery I cast with the mana it produced for each mana the land produced?

Here are some gatherer rulings on similar cards.

Pyromancer's Goggles: "If more than one red mana produced by a Pyromancers Goggles is spent to cast a single red instant or sorcery spell, the delayed triggered ability associated with each mana spent will trigger. That many copies will be created. It doesnt matter if this red mana was produced by one Pyromancers Goggles or by multiple Pyromancers Goggles."

Path of Ancestry: "If Path of Ancestrys last ability produces two mana (most likely due to Mana Reflection), youll scry 1 twice if you spend those two mana to cast one creature spell that shares a type with your commander. You wont scry 2. Youll also scry 1 twice if you spend this mana to cast two creature spells that each share a type with your commander."

Since the wording on Primal Wellspring seems to be the same as these cards, I see no reason why it wouldn't work in the same way. If you spend x mana from Primal Wellspring on a single instant or sorcery, you'll copy that spell x times. And if you spend x mana from Primal Wellspring on x different instants or sorceries, you'll copy each of those spells 1 time. Mana in = copies out.

TheVectornaut Is correct the associated copy effect is to each instance of manna produced from the land So if use Mana reflection And multiple instances of untap target land And you paid the mana for a storm card it could wind up very bad for your opposition For example Empty the warrens makes it infinite With intruder alarm
