Can I use Rings of Brighthearth on Doubling Cube to get infi mana?

If Doubling Cube isn't actually a mana ability, then I think it would work.

It's an activated ability that adds mana to your mana pool, it doesn't have a target, and it isn't a loyalty ability. All together, this means it's a mana ability that can't be copied by Rings of Brighthearth .

Even if it weren't a mana ability, it wouldn't be infinite. Rings of Brighthearth has a triggered ability, not an activated ability. The ability will only trigger once per trigger event, and you can only pay once per ability.

You can, however, use Basalt Monolith instead of Doubling Cube to get infinite mana by copying its untap ability.

Basalt Monolith or Grim Monolith with Power Artifact , this is a infinite COLORLESS mana combo, (you can use Gemstone Array to make mana of any color)
