Color by Identity?

I've noticed an irregularity with the way the site tracks color with regards to the sorting feature.

When I look at my Cube, I've found that cards like Momentary Blink and Forbidden Alchemy register as gold cards (I assume it's because of their color identity) but other cards with off color flashback costs don't. It makes keeping track of my color balance a little more complicated, and I could just use Custom Categories to track everything, but I'm wondering if there are any suggestions for me to make this simpler than hashtagging every single line in my cube with simple things like "White" and "Blue."

The Cube is here.

This is actually a problem with the card database. I've submitted fixes for both cards.

No, it's not raithe000. Every card with an additional colour will be viewed as gold cards, because that is what they are. In fact, you SHOULD view them as gold cards in cube because otherwise you aren't displaying the cards properly and effectively. Only a player drafting in those colours would pick a card with that flashback cost.

This does however represent a problem with transform cards since their additional colours is the sum of both sides, but that's generally how it is, and they are easy enough to work around.

My bad then. I misunderstood what the additional color box was for. I thought it was for things like Pact of Negation.

Philisophically, I'd disagree about only picking those cards if you were in both colors, but that's just my 2 cents/.

I guess what is missing in my post is that cards like Burning Oil, Feeling of Dread, Unburial Rites, and Wild Hunger do not show up as gold cards. This is what happens when you're doing too many things while trying to post on your phone.

tough to know how to support this without screwing up deck charts. i guess we could include them from now on, and then if you want to exclude them from your deck you can use excluded_colors field.

Alright, so from now on a card with an off color activation will always count as a gold card. Makes sense to me

It threw me off too, I always thought that the color identity of the card was determined by the initial mana cost used to cast the spell and not the cost of any Flashback/Ability activation costs. Although, it did end up helping me out in the end because I didn't realize that Burning Oil used White in it's Flashback; I'll be looking out for this in the future.
