Im super excited for the new set coming out. I love everything eldrazi. But with how high their mana costs are do you think that trying to use eldrazi in a a limited deck is possible or effective?
I also feel like they stole the eldrazi's thunder by taking away anihilator.... Yes its broken... But come on they are plane devouring creatures! They are supposed to be unstoppable. Hence the highcasting cost. I do think it will be easier at the pre release to play them this time around though. Seems there is a lot more eldrazi love ramp.

"Yes it's broken..." Stop. That's enough for Annihilator to not come back. It's a "win-more" mechanic and is unfun to play against. Ingest fits the flavor of the Eldrazi eating away at a plane, and at your mind, and doesn't have the feel-bads that annihilator does.

I think you're forgetting that you don't have to cast a creature to get it into play.
I am very glad Theros is cycling out because of two cards: Whip of Erebos and Karametra's Acolyte. Kiora, the Crashing Wave cycling out pleases me as well.
As for Eldrazi playability in Limited, I know of Cubes which run one or more of the Titans. My own Cube runs Hand of Emrakul and people have used Feldon of the Third Path to raise the dead.

Karns_Pyromancer - We're mainly talking about BFZ Draft & Sealed, not Standard or Cube.

They wouldn't put those cards into the format if you couldn't cast them. We have the Eldrazi Scions which can ramp us, Nissa's Renewal also helps us there. The thing you should be worrying about is living long enough to cast them. We have some enablers like From Beyond, Horribly Awry, and Fathom Feeder to help us live to the late game. You just have to watch out for the quick Ally deck.
