I bought a few packs last night, and I pulled a devour flesh, a predator's rapport, and an angelic edict that all are miscut. Theres like no top border and the bottom border is way fat. Maybe Im crazy, but it seems to me like theres a lot of little factory errors with gatecrash packs. more so than Ive noticed with previous sets.
well those three yesterday were out of the same box. but Ive gotten 1 other miscut card from gatecrash, and 2 color error cards that look like bleach spilled on them. Ive just pulled a lot more cards with errors from gatecrash

I know I pulled a Vampire Nighthawk from a M13 pack that had a more purple background than blue, but that may have just been because of the ink running low when that one was printed.

acbooster that'd be known as a color error. I'd have to say the rtr block so far in general seems like they lowered their standards on misprints, I've pulled about 30 cards so far from the two sets that had some kind of error and I've seen many more (like 10 cards in a rakdos starter deck with a long bleach streak going through them).

I remember during the first Ravnica block. Specifically, guild pact, there was an Izzet guild card that had the Gruul logo emblazoned in the text box. I was like, "was this on purpose?" But because they were ALL (all printings of that card) were like that, then it does not mean anything... womp womp.

They're definitely letting a lot more errors slip through with the RTR block. On purpose possibly..?

I got a foil Plains from a pack of New Phyrexia that was so miscut, half the name at the top of the card was missing and there was printing information at the bottom. I've been offered some curiously high amounts of money for it, but I think I'll just hang onto it. It's a really neat memento, I think.

Back in the day, I had a miscut Lion's Eye Diamond ... I was young and threw that bitch away... I am kind of kicking myself for it now. I am sure it would be worth something now.

I haven't seen any miscuts, and the only other misprint I've seen than my Nighthawk was when my friend got the Izzet vs. Golgari duel decks. About 10 cards in the Golgari one looked like the back was placed on bleach, huge parts of the back were almost white.

Also, zandl, what's the most you've been offered? That's the first time I've heard of a miscut that far off.

@gnarlicide: I would give you an estimate, but you'd probably hang yourself, so I won't.
@Schuesseled: It depends on what it is. A lot of the older cards that are miscut or crimped are worth a ton because people just threw them away (people didn't use sleeves so a miscut card was cheating). If it's a common in Standard, it's worth the same as a regular common. If it's something playable, like a miscut Forest or Rancor , it can go as high as $5. Generally, it's a good idea to just hold onto your miscuts.

I recently also got a plains that looks like a bug got squished into the card, it's got a black splatter over the white mana symbol and it has some texture to it.

Hey so I bought 6 more packs today. Got a Merfolk of the depths, boros charm, and dimir charm, all three with smudged ink errors.

That reminds me, I have a Stuffy Doll with smudged ink, and my friend has a smudged Odric, Master Tactician . Both came like that straight from the pack.

@gnarlicide: Was that card by any chance Hypervolt Grasp ? I think that's a problem with EVERY copy of that card, it even has the Gruul symbol on the card in the Gatherer image. And it is most definitely meant to be an Izzet card.

A buyer at a SCG Open offered me $25 straight-up for it, and my old LGS in Phoenix offered me $20.
I also have a Red Human token from, like, AVR that has a weird kind of crimping along the top of the card, like it was the edge of the sheet, or something.

. Lol. I thought initially that it was just mine until I went through my common box and saw that all of them were like that. I realized it at a draft.
