What is your favorite mono blue mage to play as a commander?

I'm into mono blue for a long time but I don't know what to play as a commander, do you have any suggestions?

I don't want talrand, and I'm not into tribals (I think Braids or Jalira are good options)

How can you be into mono blue without actually having a deck to play in the color? Is it a favorite constructed deck that you'd like to translate to commander? How can you like the color most, if after months of starting topics about this, you didn't even settle on a commander yet? That makes it hard to help you.

I personally detest mono blue, I only made a Brawl deck to make sure I can efficiently do my dailies on Arena if they're blue. My commander of choice is Grazilaxx, Illithid Scholar. With a bunch of evasive creatures, Coastal Piracy-effects and interaction, you can keep busy casting spells all the time, and it resembles the mono blue standard decks of the past decade.

Sorry at first, but:

I love the idea of playing spells to say "NOPE" to my opponents, and I also played CGB Haughty Djinn pile on arena standart (I LOVE THIS DECK)

I did the proxies of my eluge list, and it's felling like I could be doing it slight happier

I don't want to go the aggro way

Sorry if feels like I can't decide what to play, is just it's to much card options in commander. I just don't know what to play

I think the best option is just to build two decks. Also, I thought the mods already talked to you about spamming threads about the same topic.

My favorites are Azami and Nezahal, Azami for its classic status, Nezahal being a weird Voltron.

My recommendations (but only as as someone who plays casual and cEDH and rarely inbetween): what scale of combo or control do you want to go on?

On the control end, you could be extreme and build Baral, Chief of Compliance or Baral, Chief of Compliance and just say princess bride quotes. It's tempting to just counter everything and either pull a combo or build up Baral to Commander damage. I've had a Baral player counter 5 spells in a row, letting someone else win just because they ran out of counter spells. However, in competitive it's just a tad slow.

On the combo end, there's quite a few. Orvar has weird combos with twitch. Urza is the classic that has infinite Mana and stupid synergy with Orbs like Winter Orb. Azami, Lady of Scrolls just because I'm an old player and enjoy the classics. You can just draw a lot.

My opinion is that blue is not the best competitive color only because it's too slow and control isn't as viable in multiplayer. it also tends not to be budget friendly.
