I have a low curve 18 land white weenie deck, and I was wondering if I should use Pacifism or Oppressive Rays . Here's the deck for reference: Soldier of the Labyrinth
Oppressive Rays is more versatile since it stops the abilities too. Someone used it against me during testing on my Polukranos, World Eater and rendered him almost useless thanks to the extra cost.

The funniest part of Oppressive Rays is that it taxes mana abilities too, so if you put it on a Golden Hind or the like they will need to pay 3 mana to make 1.

Good point JWiley129. That card totally hoses ramp decks(which are many) unless they run Sylvan Caryatid . "Oh look Elvish Mystic " * taps a plains * "Oppressive Rays on the mystic. And their stratedy goes to crap. Lol

well, i like to think end game. if there is a tank on the field that will kill you, the enemy will haply pay the 3 mana for rays. pacifism costs one more, but is assured to render a beast useless from killing you by brute force. rather than rays, Lightning Bolt will just kill little twerps which is better than disabling them. if the creature is to big to be bolted, then the enemy will have no issue paying 3 for rays to use it. I like pacifism, it is assured disabling unless they remove it.
