Two-Headed Giant ideas

Hey, couple of simple questions: what kinds of decks do you like to play Two-Headed Giant with? What strategies do you like to use, or do you think would make for a strong team in THG?
I have a Circu, Dimir Lobotomist deck that focusses on selectively exiling cards from opponents libraries, which can pick appart a deck quite good, but is quite fragile, so what kind of deck would you pair this with to make it a viable 2v2 strategy? Stompy? Stax? Counterspells? Copy Spells? Something else entirely?

I have only played Two-Headed Giant in draft but I would agree with DJ-Ango. You have to protect a head so you don't lose both.

I have only played this format in a "Kitchen table" environment so my opinion/experience may be inadequate.
I initially thought that having a ying/yang or a defensive deck and a proactive deck was the best way to go... the internet and many forums online reguarding this topic also seem to suggest that....HOWEVER the most unbeatable duo I have ever created was a pair of aggro decks... I elves fighting side my side with goblins/slivers really gets out of hand fast... because sometimes that board wipe/sweeper just gets topdecked too late.

The one time I played, it was
-
Team A: One player had creatures and ramp, the other has instant / sorcery for buff and removal
-
Team B: Both players had equally built decks
I'll give you one guess as to which team and which deck I was playing.

The only thing I truly know about 2-headed giant EDH is that Purphoros, God of the Forge is overpowered as a commander. Doing 4 damage per creature adds up super quick, assuming you're doing 60 life.
That being said, I think you could build successful pairings with both differing and similar strategies. I think what matters more are the synergies or lack thereof between each deck. One time my partner played a Winter Orb that ended up destroying my deck and we ended up getting crushed.

I’ve only played Two Headed Giant a few times, but I’ve found that the best strategy is to have one deck that is proactive, and one that is preventative/responsive. This way, one head can try to win, while the other half tries to protect the first. It’s worked pretty well in the past, but again, i have very little experience. I think Circu would probably be the more protective deck, but maybe I’m wrong.
