This deck has undergone quite a number of changes in the last couple of weeks. It has moved away from the somewhat assassin tribal theme and combat control sub theme to a slightly more focused style of play that I was was already doing but didn’t realize there was a name for: Aikido. After stumbling across another Queen Marchesa deck describing the aikido play style and realizing my deck was doing something very similar already I decided to focus it more, hence the number of changes to the deck.

This is nice. I have a soft spot for combat control decks, got to make myself one someday.

Couple suggestions you might be interested to consider: how about Jazal Goldmane as another Marton option? Mystic Barrier might also be a fit, another way for you to control the flow of combat. Gustcloak Savior is a Reconnaissance on a stick if you'd like another effect like that. And Ogre Siegebreaker might prove to be a bit more flexible Silent Assassin, though it's not, well, an assassin.

One question I'd like to ask: how does this deck perform with the only reliable draw being the monarch? Is that enough? Never really played with monarch myself, so I'm curious.

That being said, I like every level of your defense, I love how most of your instants can be fetched with Sunforger, and I love seeing Master Warcraft being played!

Whirl: the deck is a blast to play. I actually prefer an opponent is the monarch that way I can get the assassin token every upkeep. With all the ways to put a halt to combat or redirect combat damage it don’t matter if they are drawing more. The last game I played I almost one shotted an opponent just by redirecting the damage. It was a long game after that because I built it up so they had to pay 9 mana per creature just to attack me. I still wound up losing that game because of not getting to Odric before one of the opponents comboed out. Didn’t bother me in the least though cause the deck did exactly what I wanted it to. As for your suggestions I think I will be trying to work a couple of them in. Glad you enjoyed looking through the deck. Hope it sparked some inspiration for a possible deck.

Looks like fun (I've never made a Marchasa deck, but my friend has).

Also, HOLY SMOKES! How did you get everything looking awesome?
