First loss —Feb. 22, 2014
Swapped out Rakdos, Lord of Riots for Master of Cruelties about ten minutes before the FNM this week. Ended up finishing 9th. I guess we can't Top 8 every week, right? Had some mana issues (both screw and flood at least once per match) so it was tough to see if that change mattered much. Just wasn't my night. Still pretty confident in the deck but continuing to edit it as the format evolves and see where it gets me for bigger tournaments. After the tournament I dropped the Spiteful Returned to move the other two Dreadbore into the main deck and put two Slaughter Games in the sideboard. Given the amount of decks that are creature heavy with the fall of true control I'm okay with a little extra removal. Always looking for suggestions on how to tighten up how this deck works, but for now it seems like it's almost where it needs to be. I also swapped one land out for a third herald, to hopefully reduce flood and give me another option.
Any thoughts on converting Herald of Torment into Desecration Demon? I like the idea of having a bestow or a creature, but DD is more consistent simply by only being a basic creature. Also tooling around with the idea of Mogis, God of Slaughter mostly for his enchantment ability. Kind of a longshot, but he's still a good card.
