Card roles: Creatures —Feb. 7, 2017

The general theme was to use artifact creatures which are colorless in order to get the most out of Ruins of Oran-Rief and Shrine of the Forsaken Gods. Additionally those artifacts focus around bringing each other back from the graveyard continuously to the hand which helps deplete the opponent's removal until they get swarmed.

Metallic Mimic is a quick turn 2 that when you name "construct" will pump all other creatured the deck runs with the exception of thalia(present build as of writing this). He combos well with Walking Ballista and Ruins of Oran-Rief to create one really big tank of nastiness as well as helps keep those creatures pumped for damage when they swing and block.

Scrap Trawler is one of the two big return engines in the deck. It can easily bring back Metallic Mimics and Walking Ballistas with ease alone but when you combine with....

...Workshop Assistant , you begin to get multiple artifacts back from the graveyard at the same time. This ensuree plenty of mimics and ballistas being recycled again and again throughout an intense game.

Lastly, Thalia, Heretic Cathar feels out of place in the deck for kbvious reason. She doesnt combo with the other creatures. But her ability makes her a great asset in the control scheme when factoring in the metagame. She not only stalls creatures by one turn but she also slows down any decks using lots of nonbasic lands. This is valuable when you consider how many of the top meta decks use loads of nonbasic lands and use 2-4 colors in their color scheme. Additionally since she isnt a dependant card in the deck but more circumstantial based on your meta she can easily be sideboarded for other cards to adjust the deck for their deck strategy.
