Faerie Seer, you beautiful bitch. —June 26, 2019

I haven't really played Magic for a few years, but seeing Faerie Seer from Modern Horizons got me thinking about this deck again. I've added a couple things and removed a couple things. The primary focus of this deck is now speed. We're running a very low curve to make sure you hit as many early wizard drops as possible. Additionally a lot of those early wizards can help us look at our deck. So Sage of Epityr, Faerie Seer, and Omenspeaker are all ways for us to dig and hopefully hit our lockdown combo. Omenspeaker is especially good since she can sometimes block against aggressive decks. Remember, each wizard you play is another Force Spike for your Patron Wizard. Once he comes down with a Puresight Merrow or Pemmin's Aura in play, the game is done. There are Vedalken AEthermages there to help you find your missing piece. A single ping wizard for you to throw a Pemmin's Aura onto to close out the game as a win condition. Alternately, Psionic Gift on Puresight Merrow does the same thing.

And we need a good way to draw cards, so Rhystic Study. If they chose to pay, then it makes your lockdown better, if not, you get to play more wizards and islands. Win/MoreWin.

Rhystic study! I dont think you should use the creatures for draw unless its Azami, Lady of Scrolls Arcanis the Omnipotent or Riptide Director

If you have two Patron Wizards out and tap a wizard to counter a spell, does the opponent have to pay two mana?

I'm completing the tutorial! Yah

DAN00W4R: The answer to your question is no. The activation cost applies to each Patron separately because you choose to activate it. Except that it would put another wizard in play, there's no reason to have two Patrons on the battlefield.

Sorry for multi-posting here... I ran a similar deck years ago when Oddessey came out. Literally 38 creatures and 22 lands. It worked fairly well for casual play. It would have definitely needed worked over to have a chance of being decent outside of casual though. The Information Dealers(I ran x4) were money. Think of a card that by turn 4-5 reads: Tap, Scry 4+!!! I also ran Temporal Adepts for bouncing.
