My meta has zero reanmitor decks so the only cards this really hits is other flashback which I also have (Lingering Souls). Adding blades gives me much more interaction with other decks that my mainboard lacks. For the mainboard, I finally got ahold of a fourth Voice and Increasing Devotion is the card I had the most of that I most frequently sideboarded out.
His abilities aren't mana abilities.
"605.1a An activated ability is a mana ability if it meets three criteria: it doesn't have a target, it could put mana into a player's mana pool when it resolves, and it's not a loyalty ability. (See rule 606, "Loyalty Abilities.") #
605.1b A triggered ability without a target that triggers from activating a mana ability and could put mana into a player's mana pool when it resolves is a mana ability."
They use mana to activate but they do not produce it.

I don't think pithing needle can stop AEtherling because all of his abilities are mana abilities
