It's Emrakul? It's Ulamog! No... it's a Drake!

Casual Casual Enchantment Jank Theme/Gimmick

VampireNighthawk999

A crazy casual brew I cooked up. I did a Gatherer search for drakes in the hopes of making a janky tribal deck, but happened to stumble upon Iridescent Drake. I thought it would be downright hilarious with huge auras like Eldrazi Conscription, so I went right to work. I noticed that a number of Magic's drakes have abilities related to draw, discard, and even mill, so I went through these and carefully selected the ones you see before you. The deck also features a package of "counter drakes" (Spiketails) to protect the iridescents once they've been loaded up, and a couple of High Tides to help slap a conscription down even if you can't find one. Talrand's Invocation is also here to provide your field with substance, and because I have fond memories of playing it casually.

The combo can come online as early as turn 3 (T1 Careful Study, dumping Eldrazi Conscription, T2 Spiketail Hatchling, T3 High Tide into Iridescent Drake), but tends to be closer to turn 6. I'm still testing, and trying to figure out where I might be able to fit in another backup plan in case the fliers and High Tide don't do the job, but from the testing I've done, I'm pretty happy! The main issue I've come across is that it's a little top heavy around CMC 4, which makes me wonder about Metallic Mimic.
