TBH, I'm not sure what is the right theme to match with sith...discard doesn't feel right to me.

I think lightning, lightsabers, and force choke/telekinesis/mind control may be the way to go?

Force choke could be any cards that make players tick life, discard, sacrifice, mill, etc. every turn: Stab Wound, Nekusar, the Mindrazer, etc...extort to a lesser extent maybe?

Mind control could also be a fun sith-like trick (turning to the dark side aspect?). Snatch up an opponent's creature with red betrayal cards, send them attacking, then sac them to some engine within the deck.

Rule of two: Sith always have the "master & apprentice only" mechanic. Would also play with the mind control/betrayal stuff (the emperor typically had vader fight for him rather than get his own hands dirty). Are there cards that would allow you to force 2v2 or 1v1 combat steps? Crawlspace comes to mind...

Hope it helps!

i nw its not wizard/shaman tribal but might i recommend Markov Blademaster as a suggestion for any sith deck running red. it is especially thematic for a sith, and...OH COME ON, HOW IS THAT NOT A LIGHTSABER.

lol

but seriously, consider it, if only for flavor reasons

@Mastertoa Actually, Markov Blademaster is a perfect fit - I may not have been too clear in my deck description or post in the Deck Help forum, but this is dual tribal Warrior/Wizard-or-Shaman, and the Blademaster is a Warrior!

Absolutely, she'll be going in to be one of the big flavor pieces in the deck, thanks!

@scramblesthedeathdealer ...You say discard doesn't feel right, but then list it as one of your Force Choke potential mechanics? My reasoning for discard is actually twofold here, though: 1) When I was first building a Grixis deck, I looked at Gwendlyn Di Corci and Garza Zol, Plague Queen as my ideal commanders, but really had my heart set on Gwendlyn Di Corci but wasn't sure I'd ever get to see a copy of her. 2) I feel like discard in a singleton format can be severely limiting, and actually had Force Choke in mind as the flavor-equivalent. Force lightning would, quite obviously, be Lightning Bolt, Arc Lightning, and other lightning spells. Maybe Ball Lightning for the hell of it.

Otherwise, I like the idea of "Rule of Two," but wasn't sure exactly how I could make that play out in an EDH deck - while Crawlspace normally falls on my personal list of, "Too Damn Oppressive," the flavor really might just be right for this deck...but I'll have to play with it a bit more as well.

regarding the "rule of 2": there is an enchantment in blue that states players may not play more than one spell a turn. I think it is called Arcane Laboratory. It seems really flavorfull, and requires people to work in a different strategy once played, resulting in some interestig games

Hmmm...Arcane Laboratory is a lot more oppressive than anything I would normally play - along with the previous recommendation of Crawlspace, but as mentioned there, it does fit the flavor I'm going for, and as long as it's only 1 or 2 cards without me ever tutoring for them, I'd probably feel OK running them.

I think my next task for this deck is to reduce the number of creatures a bit, so I can have a few more other spells once I finalize the land count.
