God's Willing —March 30, 2014

Prior to FNM, I played some casual magic at a Wednesday tournament. What I concluded is that Gods Willing is too good in a Selesnya heroic not to carry 4 in main. It can be played defensively and offensively. I went 3-1 at yesterday's FNM beating a U/W Control, R Burn, and Sliver. I lost to a B deck with a hint to white for Blood Barron who rolled over me.

I replaced 3x Mutant's Prey and 1x Hunter's Prowess for 4x Gods Willing.

With the addition of 4x Gods Willing, I decided to replace 2x Indestructibility with 2x Fleecemane Lion. The Lions were a great addition. It the scenario when I dont have enchantments, I can proc monstrosity and have similar super champ.

The Pit Fight / heroic combo was amazing, but it wasn't necessary to have 7 fight cards.

Hunter's Prowess once again got MVP for the much needed card draw.

I traded in 1x Karametra, God of Harvests for 1x Favored Hoplite to assist with the mid-game push. Essentially, by mid game I have few cards in hand because I've stacked a unit. The unit will typically have enough devotion to for Karametra. The idea is that Karametra can come into play as an active threat, whereas by mid-game I would have to build up another heroic champ with multiple cards to be competitive.
