Trimming the fat —Feb. 26, 2024

It's getting harder and harder to find new cards to go in this deck because I can't find anything to take out. This last batch is really the last bit of fat I can find in this deck.

Coming out

  • Soul of the Harvest is very underwhelming. By not having its own ETB it feels like a dead play more often than not that costs you a turn to draw cards at a later time.
  • Dissipate because more than two counter spells in the deck feels like overkill and that it's slowing me down by not advancing my board state when I cast it.
  • Phyrexian Arena for the simple fact that it will always only ever draw one card, which is not good enough in this deck.

Going in

  • Chupacabra Echo for more removal to deal with indestructible problems. The self mill in this deck helps this card pack a serious punch.
  • Flesh Duplicate and Stunt Double to add fo the shapeshifter number to get extra uses out of important etb abilities

This looks really fun, and I love the budget too. That Massacre Worm combo is savage.

Apologies for the double tag. It cut off the second part of my comment for some reason, both times. Was saying I also recently did Progenitor Mimic at end of turn with Savage Summoning and paired it with wurm

Anyone that makes this deck is a horrible person. I've played against this deck numerous times as some sort of punishment for something that I've done in a past life or something. Seriously thought about ending the friendship over this deck a few times. Can't possibly stress enough that this deck should NOT be re-created unless you're playing against people you don't like much or you're some sort of heartless monster. That is all.
