YamishiTheWickedOne what's your opinion on removing the he and disruption for more aggro cards such as Bump in the Night and the likes? Personally I think the hand disruption comes in handy but I can see where people are coming from when they recommend the more aggro damage cards.

Also, Ifor i removed the hand disruption I could possibly add more removal as well.

I was thinking -2 Inquisition -3 thoughtseize for +4 bump in the night and +1 Terminate

Bump in the night doesn't help that much. I think you're fine as-is.

I ended up switching them out on the list here because I do feel as though the hand disruption isn't as relevant as it would be in a mid range deck. If you can think of what else should replace the Bump in the nights I'm open to suggestions. Bump isn't bad though, it seems to be a better turn one play then Inquisition or Thoughtseize in here.

I normally dislike bump but in this deck it seems to be quite a bit better then normal.

Ok so I just made a few big changes. I removed all the Bump in the Nights and replaced them with 2x Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet because I definitely underestimated him in this deck, good lord he is one hell of a threat! I also added 2x Lightning Axe which sounds really odd but my friend brought up the fact that it is unnaturally strong here as a kill spell that can trigger my madness so I had to! Also I replaced a Blood Crypt with a Shizo, Death's Storehouse mainly due to the fact that there will be times when I need to get through wit has kalitas Anadarko it doesn't enter tapped so why not? Plus my mana base is still very stable. Let me know what you think!

Tbh I liked it more before. Kalitas doesn't synergize as well with the rest of the deck. Lightning axe is fine, though I really liked the discard spells more. You had a ton of hand depletion. Though admittedly, more discard outlets is a good thing.

See, I would have agreed with you about kalitas a couple days ago but my friend had me test him out in the deck and he can be an absolute beast in most matchups, granted there are a few matches where he will be boarded out but I really do think he has a place here.

Of course I am still doing some testing and kalitas may come out if he doesn't do as well.

Yup, I am switching out kalitas for 2 more nighthawks. I don't know why I didn't even consider them before.

I myself would add Olivia Voldaren

While she is a very good card she is way toof slow for this deck.

April 16, 2016 12:41 p.m.

Indulgent Aristocrat seems like a fit in this deck. Early aggro plus lifelink plus can pump team in response to spot removal.

His activated ability is much too slow for this deck, I'd have no idea what could possibly be cut for it.

Your curve looks a little inverted, I would consider cutting some number of 3-4 of your three drops and including Faithless Looting. It will help you generate some card advantage with all of the discard effects.

seuvius says... #17

I feel dumb for asking but what do you mean by inverted? And I have definitely been considering faithless looting but I'm not quite sure what I would cut, that always seems to be my problem. XD

I've honestly considered cutting the Kolaghan's Command because it just seems oUT of place in this deck. What do you think?

I meant inverted as in you have more 3 drops than 1 drops. That is not the best place to be for an aggro deck. You want to have more turn one plays than anything else.

If K-command hasn't been testing well, that is a good reason to drop it. You can always move a copy to the sb, since it is a relevant card in a lot of match ups. I would go down to 2 nighthawks, since that is a midrange card. Faithless looting is insane with Ghast, you won't look back on including it.

April 17, 2016 11:26 p.m.

eebrost says... #21

Also, 20 lands is far too little for this deck. You need to be at 22 with your curve.

April 17, 2016 11:28 p.m.

seuvius says... #22

I decided that one Kolaghan's Command seemed necessary so I just removed one, two nighthawks, one olivia, and one Terminate since I have a decent amount of removal. The land base is much more reliable and faithless looting really does seem to put in a decent amount of work in the small amount of testing I've done.

That looks much better, I think you're on the right track with those changes. I'd next make some changes to the sideboard. Switch out Shatterstorm for Shattering Spree or Vandalblast and the Crumble + one Boil for two Molten Rain. Other sideboard cards you might want to consider are Bile Blight and Duress.

2 Alms of the Vein might work over a few Dragon's Claws since you are heavy into discard effects.
