Yes I'm playing g a lot on Arena lately XD.

I have an old SuperFog deck I used to run at local tourneys, I have a more refined version on MTGO, and when I found fog effects on Arena I knew... it was time to brew lol.

Here's the first draft of a Historic legal fog style deck on Arena.

The mulligans - you want at least 3 to 4 lands, a mix of and , that can be basic lands or duals, though maximum 1 tapped dual in 4 lands.

At least one or two counterspells, and one or two fog effects. To deal with pesky early presence.

Questing Beast in the opener with the mana to cast it on curve is this decks only early aggro option. So can be worth considering.

Teferi, Master of Time can work well early too if you have the disruption to keep.him alive and ticking.

There are two built in gameplans.

  1. Draw into questing early and start applying early pressure, and maybe even sneak out a quick. If he gets dealt with early or tou don't draw him early then read on.

Gameplan 2.

No early Questing Beast, no problem. If you got Teferi, Master of Time in tour opener, along with disruption them he can be played, generally on turn 6. This was you have the open to pay for fog effects if they have a board of creatures facing you down.

If this plan comes to fruition and you can eventually draw into Teferi's Ageless Insight and Folio of Fancies your card draw becomes ridiculous.

From here you can wait them out when you want, until Koma, Cosmos Serpent, Questing Beast and Spark Double make appearances.

Thats the idea of it anyway. Either push early aggression with questing, or stall them out with counterspells, fogs, and bounce effects until you can get the kill. Mass Manipulation means you cam even borrow some of their toys to help you end it.

I know its gimmicky and odd but... have you seen my other decks XD. Since I'm not even sure what the historic pool is limited to any suggestions would be great. Im using Folio of Fancies as a poor man's Howling Mine or Temple Bell, I dont think historic has an equivalent to Isochron Scepter but there could be something.

Almost forgot to mention the 2xDoomskar are an emergency button type thing, by the time you'd need one you should have either The World Tree or a Lotus Field put to pay the

Thanks for taking the time to check it out. Good luck on whatever battlefield you find yourself on.
