Welcome to Dungeons & Dragons & Magics & Gatherings, a small Magic: The Gathering brewing project I'm working on because I am bored. These decks together will make a group of Adventurers in the spirit of D&D, with each Commander being a Party Member and the deck both built around the Commander themselves as well as the spirit of the class they represent. The aim is to keep the Power Level of each deck around the same along with its price so that the decks can compete with each other, but you know.. we'll see. So without further ado, let us explore today's adventurer!

Barbarian

Vrondiss, Rage of Ancients

Class: Barbarian (Path of the Ancestral Guardian)

Race: Dragonborn

To me, it's fitting that Vrondiss was released in the D&D set, because both he and alot of his deck personifies what I see in a Barbarian. Unrelenting and potent aggression even at the cost of harming your resources. It is the chaos of combat where Vrondiss excels, and as such he is designed to attack your opponents aggressively, with either damage dealt back or via other methods summoning his ancestors to join him in combat. And if his draconic ancestors don't directly hurt others in combat, they can be sacrificed to other devices for value.

The main engine of this Vrondiss build is Vrondiss himself, using permanents that can loop with his ability, such as Blasting Station, Goblin Bombardment, and Dragon Tempest.

How do these loop you ask? Simple. The idea is to give Vrondiss indestructible via Darksteel Plate, Tyrite Sanctum, or another. Once this happens, you now have a closed loop, where your damage-dealing piece pings Vrondiss, creates a token, won't die from damage, and repeat.

Most of these loops will replace the Token they create, and with a higher budget to building this deck you could include Parallel Lives style cards to get even more value, but in this deck we'll be using ETB style effects like Terror of the Peaks, Impact Tremors, Elemental Bond, et cetera.

Overall, this deck was a fun build. I'm always a fan of Dragons, so bringing both Dragonborn and actual Dragons together in a deck of full aggression really is fun to play with. I hope you all enjoy this brew!
