Does a planeswalker die if you use enough abilities to bring it to 0?

If others are still wondering: A planeswalker with 0 (zero) loyalty will die, no matter how the loss of loyalty came to be.

If your Gideon, Ally of Zendikar immediately uses its -4 after being cast to make an emblem, it will be dead having 0 loyalty, just as much as a creature with 0 toughness would be.

Fun fact: if you have a Gideon of the Trials with 3 loyalty, activated to be a 4/4 until end of turn and someone casts a Heartless Act to remove 3 (loyalty) counters from it, Gideon will die, no matter how indestructible he may be until end of turn.

I know you are not asking this, but adding to the fun fact that plakjekaas said above: Granting a planeswalker indestructible will not prevent loss of loyalty counters. For example, let's say I have a walker out with loyalty at 4 and an opponent swings at it for 4. In response, I cast Boros Charm selecting the second option. My walker gains indestructible, but still loses 4 loyalty and dies. Granting them indestructible will help against cards like Dreadbore, but will not prevent combat damage or effects like Heartless Act, as stated above.
