Few questions regarding Callous Oppressor

Asked by SurpriZe 5 years ago

Situation #1: If I have a Callous Oppressor in play with a chosen creature type and make a copy of this card, will the copy be affected by the same creature type choice? Meaning, will I be able to take control of the originally "prohibited" creature type with the copy?

Situation #2: If I copy Callous Oppressor with Mirage Mirror, will I be able to target any creature type with the copy? Since Mirage Mirror doesn't enter the battlefield when copying.

Situation #3: I control two Callous Oppressors, then both of them use their ability on one creature under opponent's control. Then, if one of the Callous Oppressors dies, will the original owner get control of the creature or will the second Callous Oppressor still control it on my side of the battlefield?

Situation 1- The copy will have the same abilities as the original and an opponent will choose a type as it enters. It can be the same or different as the type chosen for the first. (This is assuming Clone, Cackling Counterpart, or other copies that enter the battlefield.)

Situation 2- Mirage Mirror (and similar things that copy without the creature entering the battlefield) will never have a creature type chosen and can therefore take control of any creature. Mirage Mirror (and other things that only copy until EOT) however will not have the ability that you may choose not to untap it, and you will lose control of the creature on your next untap step.

Situation 3- The creature will have 2 control changing effects applied to it. When one of the Callous Oppressors dies only the effect from it will end. The other one will still be granting you control of the creature.
