Alesha reanimation with Ankle Shanker

Wondering whether when Alesha, Who Smiles at Death brings back Ankle Shanker or any other "when this card attacks" card, does the deathtouch first strike trigger happen?

The only exception is creatures like Master of Cruelties that say attacks a creature and isnt blocked as the trigger activates after the block step and doesnt care whether the creature actually attacked itself or entered attacking, it only cares that its attacking and wasnt blocked.

The trigger doesn't happen. "Whenever [something] attacks" abilities only trigger when the creature is declared as an attacker at the beginning of the declare attackers step of combat. They don't trigger if the creature is put onto the battlefield attacking by some other effect.
