@SirFowler: Peanuts Plox

Maybe display a little 'popularity' bar instead of a static number? I'm not massively against the idea, but I'm sure a lot of people (including me) don't have the time to like user profiles... I'm all in for comment voting though.

EDIT: I'm king at grammar :P

A "Thank You" system has another important factor:

Unlike upvotes and likes, there's a psychological hurdle when it comes to thanking someone. Most people don't want to thank someone unless they really got something from that post, even if they like the user or the content. Thanking someone is the declaration that they gave you something, and closely tied to feelings of debt. If there is to be voting system for helpful comments, "Thank You" is the best way to go.

Thinking about it... please don't reset everything. A "fresh start" for decks, upvotes and stuff would hurt. A lot.

Still +1 to The thanking system though!

It won't be so much of a "Thank you" button Triforce-Finder, but rather a question button asking "Did you find this helpful?" and another asking "Did you find this funny?" And when clicked, they would say "Thank you!"

We aren't going to reset everything Busse. There already was a reset on lots of things that occurred accidentally. Recent threads and comments, comment streams, notifications, top draft/cube picks and finally, user points.

I'm a little late to the party, but I'll provide my input. I liked my old rank. Call me petty, or whatever, but it showed that I was an active member of this community. This is the only community that I regularly spend any time in, as all I do on facebook is look at random pictures or share things that amuse me. My old rank showed that I was an established member of the community, and I liked that. These days I just don't have as much time to comment on things as I used to, so my rank will suffer drastically as a result, and all of my past history with the site is basically swept away to nothingness.

And everyone started ignoring me again. Problem solved. :D

I like this idea of being able to upvote users. I do think the deck upvote system needs to stay in place, though.

EDIT: And now my rank dropped to 26. Fuck, man. This genuinely sucks. I'm just as active as I was before, when I was gaining ranks every day, except now I'm losing them.

Well, some frantic deck helping put me in 8th overall, so I upgraded and changed my title. Still thinking about something better for the title, and still working on the name colors, but I'm content now I think. I'd rather have my points back, but if that's not possible I think we're looking at a good alternative option.

Note: I didn't spam to get points in the last few days; just commented with genuine help on quite a few decks.

I was not talking about your instant response buttons when I mentioned a "thank you" system, Femme_Fatale. I was referring to the thing I suggested right at the start: An actual "Thank You" Button.

I'd have referred to your idea as what it is, not by the response it gives for using it.

Has anyone noticed a small drop in the number of "good card suggestions"? I feel like the number has been slowly creepy downward on my profile, but maybe I'm just imagining things (very possible). For the record, mine says 135 at the moment. Maybe I'll check a couple days from now and see if it fell some more.

good card suggestions tend to fluctuate based on whether or not they remain in ones maybe/main.

Hm I didn't know they were related to staying in ththe main. Good to know :)

I'd be mad about the points reset, but I really don't care. Deck upvotes are the only things that matter. Also titles. Whoever wasn't in top 100 before the nuke now gets a custom title. Unless that changed, in which case, us titled people win.

I lost 10,000 points, down to 200. Super lame. All that effort and input down the drain. Didn't understand points but still is disconcerting.
