how to beat the mirror

I am playing in a store championship Friday, and would like some help in beating my mirror match. my deck four color energy mash up runs really well, and the hardest match I have played with it was against a similar version of the deck. I am hoping someone on here might have some tips/tricks/strategy suggestions on how to handle this match up. I often homebrew, and as a result have never really found myself in a mirror scenario. my lack of experience has made it difficult to try and beat my own deck. If this was the wrong forum to post this in I apologize.
Well you know the ins and outs of your deck. You know whats strong against it, and what its weak against. Exploit those against the mirror. Either that, just have a faster hand then your opponent.

That is true. In that vein I think removing Fatal Push from my sideboard and adding Doomfall will help a lot. I recently added Negate as well but I might swap them out for the much stronger Disallow if I can find a 3rd

Doomfall seems useful against bristling hydra. If anything since its an energy deck, find ways to get them to drain their energy also. Cause little energy is hard to make it work.

When I played the mirror match, I did try and get him to dump his energy into things I could kill, the only issue I found is that the deck produces pretty well, and as a result short of Solemnity it can be difficult to drain energy in the deck.

That is a problem. But you dont wanna do that for it doesnt help your creatures either

I was playing it for laughs but shuffling is a skill that will lose you or win you close games. a lot of players neglect shuffling especially after long games.

The guys at my lgs are pretty hardcore, they tend to shuffle your deck anytime they are handed it in accordance with the rules. I seem to do ok with the draws and such, I rarely have to mulligan. My topic was more of one wanting to know if I should prioritize removing something instead of something else, sideboard this in and take this out etc.

StardustDragon11 That makes no sense. Your goal when shuffling is to return your deck to a randomized state. So it shouldnt have any impact on your games if you are doing it right.
