Facts: Amnokhet is a plane ruled by Nicol Bolas Amnokhet has 5 gods Nicol Bolas is an elder dragon, part of the original cycle of 5 elder dragons They added 6 new elder dragons in Khan's, one of which, Ugin, is a visual and mechanical mirror to Nicol Bolas. Amnokhet is also based off of Egyptian mythology, which heavily features ressurection.
Speculation: The 5 original elder dragons are the five gods. Somehow they are brought back from Nicol Bolas from killing them.
what if the four color commanders have something to do with this?

greyninja, they were wedge colors already, weren't they? Well, ok, Bolas was a shard. Chromium I believe was Esper. I don't remember the rest. They were likely shard colors...hmmm. I doubt they would alter them that way then.
Gattison, that's doubtful because the elders were always 3 colors, not 4. It would change so much I think.

Maybe since Bolas is part of the OG 5 and can't resurrect himself; he goes to the "other side" and reanimates the Ugin that died in the alternate timeline? This is an insane power he's been working on in silence etc.
If they do bring back the elder dragons, it'll be an attempt to cater to the edh crowd. Heck let's make them wedge variations! We could always use more wedge commander options
