No-ban Singelton (format + deck)

Me and my friends were discussing how fun it seems to play Vintage, mostly because so many cards (like Ponder and Brainstorm, power 9 etc) are restricted so you need to have alot of one-ofs. As none of us are close to being able to play Vintage we thought of a casual format where we could play with all the brokenness of Channel, Balance, Sol Ring etc. The discussion lead to us building decks based on the following rules:

  • 60 card decks
  • only singeltons (except basic lands)
  • no ban list (maybe ban power 9)
  • no proxies
  • do lots of broken things

Is this a format already? It should be, its pretty fun. Its like a over powered cube where you get to pick any cards you want. Its like baby EDH without a commander. What do you think of this format?

Why not just play commander you might ask? Well, this lacks the build around me angle that most commanders have. Also, another very good reason: You can shuffle the decks easier and the deck is still manageable if you decide to double sleeve :).

This is my deck. Its mostly a stripped down version of my Leurekavold EDH deck. Any suggestions?

Yeah, that's already a format. It's called Australian Highlander. There's also Canadian Highlander which uses Australian Highlander's points system but tweaked for 100 card.

Points lists work better than banlists, so you can do broken stuff if you want, but you have to decide how you want to do your broken stuff.
