Let's Collaberate: Dual Commander

So when I first heard of duel commander I misunderstood it as "dual" commander. Now I've begun to think, what if there was dual commander? How bad of an idea would it be? I think there's plausibility, but not much practicality; humor me. Tell me what you think, nicely.

Well, what exactly do you mean by dual commander? Like two headed giant in Commander? Or a deck with two legendary creatures in the command zone? If the second, do they have to be the same colors? Can one be three color and the other be only two of those colors? Could I have a red commander and a blue commander for the same deck?

One player has two possible commanders, they can have separate color identities. Yes, mix and match the colors to soothe whatever edge of your personality.

Alright, cool. I'd probably be a dick and do Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon and Rafiq of the Many with a bunch of ramp.

I think in the spirit of the format they should both be made to be the same color or at least must share one color.

Love that idea. I agree that they should share a color though... and there would be some pretty broken combos....

I'm assuming you can't just use two Brothers Yamazaki because of Singleton stuff. Which is disappointing.

Sure, two separate legendary creatures that share one color at the minimum.

Make it fully matching colors I think.

Ismaru, Avacyn

I would love to add Oloro to my Merieke Ri Berit deck. BUG would be really OP with that.

Mono blue would do very well with this.

Overall sounds like it would be fun to try, doubt it would catch on. That is ok though. Always fun to try something new here, and there.
