Like Infinite Combos?

I was looking online, and I've discovered that pretty much all infinite combo databases are expansive, unorganized, and filled to the brim with combos requiring 4+ cards or combos that have limited effects (like infinite board wipes).

So, I wanted to begin creating an infinite combo that could be searched through by 1) what it generates (infinite colorless mana, infinite colored mana, infinite damage, infinite life loss, infinite life gain, infinite tokens, infinite draw, infinite mill/exile, etc.), 2) what color(s) it requires, and most importantly 3) how many pieces are in the combo. Personally, I've been looking for all 2-piece combos in and/or , and it's frustrating to see such disorganization on something so easily compiled into a clear and easy to read/search format.

Does anyone have any good ideas on how I should start this? What site I should use? Any other ideas about organization? Etc.

I know TO has the combo feature on the site, but it too has become rather clumped up with cards that don't actually combo together.

I think mtgs actually has a good resource for this already

Actually, it was that particular database that got me frustrated. Sure it's organized by color, but it's very unorganized in terms of providing the option to separate by number of pieces or by end result.

Basically, mtgs's infinite combo database is sucky, any ideas on how to create a better database?

I always thought the MTGS list was organized fairly well. Sorted by color was always good enough for me because there aren't a lot of combos for each color, so skimming through each section was easy.

I guess the logical organization would be End Result -> Color -> # of Pieces. However, each piece of a combo should be good on its own, so the number of pieces shouldn't matter. Running a bad card for the sole purpose of powering a combo is a bad idea because that card is a dead unless you draw the other pieces. I actually include a 5-piece infinite combo in one of my EDH decks, but literally every piece has a purpose within the deck outside the combo.

You could try to use the find function. Press 'control' and then 'f' if you havent before.

meecht, I agree except for the part about each piece needing to be good outside of the combo. Ultimately, I'd say it depends on the deck. If I'm playing control, each slot is so precious to maintain card advantage and control on the game and whatnot that I can't run combos of pieces that don't individually have roles in the deck already. However, it's different when you're building a deck around getting an infinite combo. If two cards that do nothing individually can deal infinite damage to a player together, I'd play that in a heartbeat in a deck that in a combo deck that already has a bunch of tutors for those pieces in the deck. That's why I'm upset that there are SOOOOO many combos I've made from two pieces or three pieces that are nowhere on that list. :(

ChiefBell, how exactly does ctrl+f find combo pieces of two pieces that generate infinite colored mana? Also, there are a large amount of missing combos on the list as well. Honestly I don't see how someone could care enough to try to build their deck around a combo requiring four or more pieces. It's so inconsistent, vulnerable, and slow that I feel that the slots are ultimately just wasted. You know?

PancakesOnSalsa, describing actual infinite combos is outside the scope of this thread, but thank you anyways.
