Kefnet the Unuseful

Sorry for the title's pub, but i really am struggling with this guy. Kefnet's invocation was the first card i opened at my first prerelease since my last return to magic, so it's almost a pet card for me. This stops me from just selling him and makes me want to build something decent around him. The problem is that i play just Modern and rarely EDH and i can't fit him in any of my decks: he is just outclassed by a lot of mono-B or multicoloured commanders and looks really weak for Modern. Should i just give up and sell him or he does have a possibility?

, but it is really expensive and i doubt that a budget version would work, being Celestial Colonnade one of the wincon.
Thanks for the honesty. I think that even Hazoret or Oketra would have been better, to be fair.

I can't speak for modern, but he would make a great alternate general in my Kami of the Crescent Moon EDH. If you wanna peep the list, it's here: That MASTERLESS Little Kami. I don't have him in there yet, but I usually have more than 7 cards in hand when playing it. I will admit though he'll be better in the 99. It's also a budget friendly build.

You are kidding, but i actually tried to build something with some bounce-land effect to trigger cards with Landfall, Revolt or a simple ETB/LAB.
Frustrating.

I respect the effort to make a bad card useful - reminds me of One with Nothing but the card isnt AS bad as that card. Keep trying duderino.

Yeah I mean hes just not a good card, probably one of the worst god cards to come out of Amonkhet. Hate to say so. It would have been better if you got Rhonas the Indomitable for that first draw lol
