Collected Company: How low will it go?

So, it's great news for me that Collected Company is dropping from its inclusion in the clash pack; I need two more for my modern deck. What I'm curious about is how low the price is likely to get before it starts climbing back up, and when that will most likely happen.

Any MTG economics gurus have predictions on that?

If we continue to see more decks that break the card do well in multiple formats then a single, smallish extra printing will only provide downward pressure for a short time. We are at peak supply now that drafting has moved to Origins, meaning that the the price is most influenced by on demand.

I guess the question is, will Origins make it better or worse? Will Modern continue to use it? Check out the recent decks here

Yeah, I won't count on it staying down. But if I can get it for <$10 instead of the $13 it's at now I'd want to do that.

The only things from Origins that really stand out to me as highly dangerous for Collected Company decks are Languish and Hallowed Moonlight. Not sure those would be enough to keep it down. But I could certainly be missing something.

I could see it settling down around $10 over the next few weeks before climbing again. It's more or less at a similar spot as Courser of Kruphix when it ended up in supplemental product, though Collected Company is seeing far more play in additional formats.

I would find some for $10 now and call it a day. You're not going to miss out on some bottoming out to $3-5 dollars - it's seeing too much Modern play for that, and the second any support for tribes like elves shows up in Battle for Zenidkar it's going back up another $5+ dollars.

Sounds good, Slycne. I plan to grab some of them as soon as I can. Seems like that should be pretty good timing.
